James' Story
ROOTED IN ANDERSON. COMMITTED TO SERVING.
Born and raised in Anderson, James Hayes has called Anderson home for nearly his entire life. His roots run deep, with family and strong ties throughout Anderson County.
James served in the U.S. Army from 2009–2012. His time in the military helped shape his belief in service, responsibility, accountability, and putting the needs of others before his own.
Today, James is a husband, father, and local small business owner. He owns The News Chronicle and understands firsthand the responsibility that comes with running a business, raising a family, and being invested in the community you call home.
For James, Anderson County is more than a place on a map. It is where his family is raising the next generation, where his business is rooted, and where he wants to help preserve the quality of life that has made this community home for generations.
That connection to Anderson is what led James to run for County Council District 2. He believes growth should be managed responsibly, taxpayer dollars should be treated with respect, roads and infrastructure should keep pace with development, our waterways and natural resources should be protected, and the first responders who serve our communities should have the resources they need to do their jobs.
James is running to bring a practical, accountable approach to County Council and to make sure the people of District 2 have a representative who listens, asks questions, and remembers who county government is there to serve.
